Students grades 5-12 meet on Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:30PM. We desire to facilitate relationships with our students between themselves, caring adults, and parents that sharpen their walk with Jesus. And, we’re dead serious about the spiritual formation of students, Kingdom service, and equipping parents to become their teens’ primary faith trainers. Everything we do has a thread that runs through the home and community. Whether it’s our Wednesday night Bible study or one of our retreats, we make sure that parents are informed and equipped in order to continue teaching at home what their teens are learning at church concerning Jesus’ Kingdom and our identity as agents of it. In addition to our Wednesday night activities, we have quarterly retreats that focus on specific topics and issues that are facing our students today. Most of our retreats include a missional aspect that equips our students to not only “be hearers of the word only, but doers as well”.
MID-HIGH (GRADES 5-8)
“Grounded” is under the oversight of youth director, Tom Routson and other fun adult leaders, who lead the mid-highers in fun games, age-appropriate Bible studies, service projects and mini-retreats.
HIGH SCHOOL (GRADES 9-12)
Our high school youth ministry is called Element26 because in Proverbs 27:17 we are told that “as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”. It’s also under the oversight of youth director, Tom Routson, who – along with other adult leaders, leads the high schoolers in fun games, age-appropriate Bible studies, service projects, mini-retreats, and mission trips.
