A Word for Foothills from Alistair Begg

alistair-beggHe’s got a great Scottish accent; he’s funny; and he’s a poignant preacher.  He’s pastor and radio Bible teacher, Alistair Begg, and he gave a powerful message during the Clarus ’15 conference held at Desert Springs Church in Albuquerque this past Spring.  It’s a message I would love for our whole church to listen to and ponder. In it, he poses some pretty pointed questions like…

What is the real reason why you attend the church you do (in our case, Foothills Fellowship)?

Would visitors to Foothills conclude after spending time with us that we are convinced that the Word of God does the work of God through the Spirit of God in the people of God?

Would visitors be certain that upon hearing me preach that I am a servant of the Word of God?

Would visitors be convinced after spending time with us that we value more what God says to us than what we have to say to Him?

Would you take 54 minutes to listen, and would you be willing to share your thoughts and insights with the rest of us after you listen by commenting below?  Thanks!
